The Advanced Muscle Integration Technique (A.M.I.T.®) is a revolutionary approach to identify and treat muscle weakness and imbalances that can lead to pain and impaired function. At its core, A.M.I.T.® targets the very nerve centers known as proprioceptors—our body's 'intelligent terminals' that govern tension, stretch, and motion. Think of these centers as circuit breakers in your body's electrical system; trauma or inflammation can 'trip' them, leading to inhibited muscle function under stress, which manifests as pain, weakness, and restricted movement.
When a muscle is inhibited, the body cleverly adapts, overburdening other muscles and tissues. This is where A.M.I.T.® shines; it meticulously identifies the offending muscle and, through a carefully orchestrated combination of reflex stimulation and spinal adjustments, restores proper neurological function.
Beyond traditional chiropractic care, which focuses on spinal health to ensure optimal central nervous system performance, A.M.I.T.® incorporates a multifaceted blend of seventeen healing disciplines. This synergistic approach not only accelerates recovery but also enhances overall performance, making it a favored choice for elite athletes across the NBA, NFL, PGA, and Olympics. However, its benefits are not just for the sports elite. Anyone seeking to live an active, pain-free life can experience the transformative effects of A.M.I.T.®.
Chronic pain and injury often stem from the body's compensatory movements—'Adaptations'—due to an unresolved muscle inhibition. A.M.I.T.® prevents these maladaptive patterns by promptly identifying and reactivating the affected muscles, thus avoiding the cascade of stress and injury to other areas.
Led by Dr. Williams and his team, the A.M.I.T.® system allows for the precise testing of all 600+ muscles in the body. By isolating each muscle and examining its response through specific movements, they can discern whether a symptomatic area is the root cause or merely a compensation for a prior injury. This depth of analysis can even reveal underlying issues such as nutritional deficiencies or organ stress, providing a holistic picture of one's health.
Ultimately, Advanced Muscle Activation Technique is more than a treatment; it's a comprehensive system that fosters healing and peak performance, ensuring a fuller, more successful recovery than what might be achieved through conventional chiropractic care alone. Whether you're an athlete aiming for the top of your game or simply someone who wishes to enjoy life without limitations, A.M.I.T.® offers a path to optimal body function and wellness."
A.M.I.T.® utilizes seventeen different healing disciplines that produce accelerated results. When the body is injured, it tries to heal itself. Acute Injuries occur when a muscle is overloaded beyond its capacity. When this happens, either the muscle tears, or the nervous system inhibits the muscle (like a circuit breaker in an electrical circuit) to prevent severe injury. If this inhibited muscle is loaded again, it will not be able to contract appropriately and the body will create pain to avoid more damage. Once a muscle is inhibited, it will no longer fire when loaded. We call these new movement patterns“Adaptations”. The body needs all the essential components that are required for healing, or proper healing will not take place. If all the essential components for healing are not available within six weeks of injury, the central nervous system is forced to adapt into other tissues. These adaptations will mask the original problem and eventually cause injury elsewhere. The beauty ofA.M.I.T.® is that it quickly identifies the inhibited muscle, and prevents the adaptive strategy to occur. Chronic problems arise because adapted tissue eventually becomes over-stressed and becomes the next site of injury. This new site of injury leads to further adaptive movement patterns and the downward spiral of pain and muscle atrophy continues.
The A.M.I.T.® system gives him the ability to isolate and test all 600 plus muscles. By evaluating and testing individual muscles through specific ranges of motion, Dr. Williams and his team can determine if the symptom site is the primary lesion or merely the adaptation to an older previous injury. An adapted tissue will often show up as a condition a person wakes up with one morning not having any history of trauma. Occasionally, muscle dysfunction can be reflective of deeper problems such as nutritional deficiencies or gland/organ stress and the early stages of disease because muscles are the display units of the body. This is where differential diagnostic capabilities are critical. We focus on integrating the best of all health care systems.
Advanced Muscle Activation Technique addresses the imbalances in the body, healing the body on a much more complete level, leading to more complete recovery and success in cases where chiropractic alone may have been only partially successful! Elite-level athletes from the NBA, NFL, PGA, and manyU.S. Olympic athletes as well as many college, high school, and recreational athletes are beginning to use the A.M.I.T.® system to maximize their performance. But, you don’t have to be an athlete to benefit from it. Most patients are active people who want to help their bodies work right, feel great and live life to the fullest.
